(Monday 150310.)

Woke up like at 5am LOL. Lugged my heavy bag to Lot1 taxi stand, waited for Felicia. Her dad gave me a lift to school. Thanks alot. Heeeeeez. Reached there then Hidayah just reach. Went to find her. Alot of people were already there. Saw some familiar faces. Took attendance and left the school at like idk 7 or 8 plus. My two awesome friends pangseh me in the bus :( Ended up only having earpiece as company. But nevertheless its alright. Last chance I can enjoy music before camp. Hahhhhhhhh.

Reached the jetty place. Got grouped! Was grouped to group two, Barker! <3 Instructor Haizul & Instructor Lang! The 6 of us girls, Puteri, Farah, Hidayah, Fatin, Weiling and Moi! And the 10 guys, Shaiful, Amirul, Salikin, Sathais, Hafiz, Hilmi, Samuel, Kevan, Jermyn, Wayne! :D

Went to take the boat to pulau ubin. At first all so suagu look out of the windows all. Haha that time very excited lo.

Reach there already first thing we did was.. uh i forgot lol. I think we went to out bunk to put our bags down then went to the MPH (Multi-purpose hall) to read the some commitment thingy and pass out valuables. Then.. eat huh? I can't remember but i know we had a meal there. Our first meal had to feed the person sitting across us. For me it was Salikin. Lol on the last day he told me say I never feed him properly LOL. Joker. After that we went to the bunk and had breifing and then appointed some roles in the group. After that packed our tenets and personal bags. Shared a bag with Weiling! :) She's a nice person I met through the camp, so fwendly! ^^

After that we got our bags and went to another place which idk what it's called. The walk there was like so tiringgggggggg -,- the distance isn't far, it's because of the heavy bags! It was like the first time in my life I carried such a heavy load and walk so far. Lol. When we reached that camp site, it was already dinner time. Cooked out food in the meshtin/mestines for the first time. Nice yummy food. From Fatin's London restaurant. Haha!

Setup tents for the first time too! Had so much problem. But then the scout boy so helpful. Help teach us. Haha yea scout boy Jermyn. That night had a hard time to sleep. First timeeeeee ma!

-End of day-

Journal entry: I learnt that teamwork is very important. Also, we should treat everyone (from Barker) as our own family members! Although my group members speaks alot of malay and half the time I wont understand them or share their jokes, I don't blame them but to learn and remember not to leave my malay friends out in the future when I'm with my chinese firneds. :)

(Tuesday 160310.)

Woke up at 6plus i think. Went to brush teeth and enjoy the clean clean bathroom. Er, what did we do after that.. Can't remember.. OH YEAH Physical training. Because the malay people in our group keep speaking malay then our instructors has this language bank thingy. So the money inside will increase once he hears english not being used. That da we accumulated $37. We did stuff like pushups and running. The pushups were torture la. The ground so rough. But out group managed through it anyway! Running was fun. :D

On that day we did our first high element. Rock climbing! I was the second last person to do it. Or instructors told us something like this: "Take it as rock climbing is your occupation and you are all now earning money for transportation for your bags when we kayak. The cost of the transport is $60 and the whole group have to contribute." So therefore everyone had to try and seriously i was dreading my turn. It started to rain, then drizzle abit, then stop again the rain, drizzle and stop. So those people climbing at that time had to struggle. Even some macho people cannot pass the red line. (2metre mark on the wall)

So when it was my turn, actually rain stopped but then it started to drizzle a little. I was like OH MAN NO PLEEZE. Anyway I decided to just give it my best and just climb with every ounce of energy. I struggled so hard la. Hard to find the places where i needa put my hands and legs. Somemore so slippery. I wanted to give up so badly but Insructor Lang and Hidayah were just down below, insisting that I go on. Finally, miraculously, I managed to reach all the way to the top. I was so happppppppy man! :D After that when I wanted to get down, they encouraged me to move further up to another 'layer' around 1 metere above me.

I was thinking, sian nvm just climb lah dont dissapoint them so I just half heartedly grabed the platform above me and tried to pull myself up but to no avail. Then I turn around and told them like "See! Cannot lah!" Then Instructor told me to climb by the side. Then i started freaking out LOL. I realised he was serious and I had no choice la. Although I was so scared but.. I managed it! woohoo! Happy. Going down was scarier but lets not elaborate -.- Form this I finally understand the phrase: "You do not know your own abilities unless you give it a shot and put in your best!" HAHAHA I sound so smug but really la let me have some bragging rights LOLOLOL!!

After that removed the according to yh: 'Retarded wear' aka the helmet and harness... Prepared to go kayaking. Hated the shifting. The Kayaks weighed like elephants. Some with water need like 4 people to share the load. Paired with hidayah. Had to purposely capsize. Ugh water in my nose! (Get it? The joke? Fire in the houuuuuse! Water in my nooooooooose! Ahhh whatever lame me.) Anywayyys yea. Kayak-ed to another campsite. Awesome-mousome.

That campsite was beautiful at night. Alot of stars <3 mah favourite. If only I can pluck them off the sky, keep in my bag bring back home, then splash them across the sky back here in choa chu kang, where everynight i can watch it. Haha. Stupid thoughts but yea, how nice right! Maybe someone should invent star magnet so I can fulfill my wish hahahaha.

Cooked our own food again. this time ate maggie. Was satistfied enough. Sat with hidayah and shaiful along the beach to see singapore lights along the opposite shore. I missed home. But I'm not one of those who cried ok! Edna's a brave girl mwahaha.

Second night in the tent, super alot of ants, but have to put through it and persevere.. I think i can become professional ant murderer. Hmmmmmmm.

-End of day-

Journal entry: On tuesday, we climbed a huge rock wall. At first I didn't believe that i would be able to climb it at all. However after much persuasion, I decided to just give it a shot. Miraculously, i managed to climb all the way to the top-est of the top-est!! I was so happy. Then, we started to kayak. We had to capsize our own boat on purpose. Initially I was afraid. But after trying once, it wasn't so bad after all :)

(Wednesday 170310.)

Morning woke up etc, didn't get to bathe :( So sm-meow-ly. Land expedition today, once again had to carry out havy bags and find 4 checkpoints on the middle of a forest lol. That time the first day was only appetizer according to instructor Haizul. Super tired, I felt like my legs could just crumble beneath me. :/

We only had ourselves to reply on because our insturctors said that the represent the coccon cutters while we are the butterflies. If they cut our coccon and help us out in the easier way, we will die eventually because we are not fully developed. So we had only ourselves to reply on. For this land expedition, I wanna thank some important people who encouraged me alot! Firstly Jermyn! Always so confident in leading the whole group, never fail to askl around if they need help with their load. Nice navigator! And also Samuel! The food carrier haha. Never complained even though he had to carry the food box as well as his own heavy bagpack. I would have died if not for the two oranges. HAHA. Exaggerate. But claps claps for these two people!

Finally we found out 4 checkpoints, went to have our lunch and went to build our raft. Had to change to wet attire in the store where they keep the materials ._. so weiiiiiird. After building raft, was alr so tired. Very hard to tighten the ropes. Rafting was difficult. I was initially the right paddler and it was hard because have to use the strength of my left hand. Then tired siaaah cause the waves pushing us to the right and we have to paddle alot because need to paddle away from shore. The other group Swesen alr so far infront! In the end switch with someone. Sang "Row row row your boat'' to lift out enthusiasm cause all sian already lol. In the end managed to overtake Swesen! Hahahaha. Wth rafting will randomly pop out jelly fish. Scream like AHHHHHH.

After we reached our camp site, had to undo our raft. The instructor caught the same type of jelly fish that we saw in the water while rafting and let us hold. So squishy siah! The baby one super cute lol! First time touch jelly fish. After that we fix up our tents and went to the natural swimming pool! SUPER SHIOK! Jumped off from the rocks into the calm-lake type of "ocean" they call it a quarry ah? Idk what la. Inside go fish eh! haha but so fun! :D Play hold breath with the Wayne they all. Cannot tahan them la bunch of jokers. Jermyn still tired to dance sorry sorry inside there hahaha.

Last night camping outdoors next to a beach. That night was also one beautiful night where the stars dotted the sky and we can hear the sound of waves crashing to the shore. That night in the tent was super hot. I remember that I laid there listening to the sounds of cricket in the trees and the waves. I know when I get back here to home, i wont know when's the next time i'll get to hear such sounds to sleep again.

- End of day -

Journal entry: On wednesday, we rafted and had our land expedition. During the process, we had some issues and quarreled over which direction to go. I learnt that by being open to other people's opinions, we have more options and we can therefore decide carefully where we should head to. While building the raft, each of us had to be assigned to one end and tie the pipes and barrels together with the ropes. I learnth that everybody is important. While rafting, the right paddlers hadf problems because the waves were oushing against us and we were all using our weaker left hand to paddle. Camping outdoors taught me how to appreciate and not to take advantage of lights. The treking also taught me to persevere all the way and the imporatnce of encouragements to keep my group mates going.

(Thursday 180310.)

Early in the morning we got ourself mentally prepared to kayak through 8hours. Actually for me I woke up late. Din't have time for breakfast because still need to help unpitch the tent. In the end ate only one slice of bread. Started to kayak with the help of 4 gods. :) Salikin & Jermyn from Barker and Zul & Ernest from Swesen. They are really good leaders, all make sure that everyopne's fine. However after kayaking for sometime near chek jawak then me and hidayah started having problems. Instructor said we coudln't coordinate. Seriously everyone was infront and we were left behind. I was so scared because hidayah was getting seasick and everybody was infront and i was already so tired to move on. So frustrated until tears flow down. So sick of it and i was getting dizzy too. Thank God at that hardest moment some kind soul came behind and saved us. Jermyn and Samuel! Samuel offered orange skin while i switched over to Jermyn's kayak. He funny lah joker. Managed to make me laugh so much because of his dumb sorry sorry dance. Retard! Idk how but he managed to cure away my seasickness and I felt alot better.

After kayaking awhile more suddenly it rained and that time Jermyn turn to seasick. After that I scared again la. Nobody to rely on if he really cannot take it. Then I tired my best to encorage him!! Or else later left behind again.. same thing repeat i then dont want so....... after what seemed like ten thousand years, we got to our destination! Awesoooome so happyhappy :D

That night fix tent at a damn dark place. Did I mentioned that i'm afraid of darkness? That's why night time in the campsite was so scary for me and luckily in the end we no need to century. Haha. Spend the whole night talking.

- End of day -
