Real Friends.

Hey there! Its BCR day today - A day when Ngee Ann students (I think it's just my faculty) get to take a break from school (not the intended purpose) and participate in school activities online with the lecturers and school mates instead (the actual purpose). It's basically an off-day for me though, not sure if its a good thing because its sort of a BCR day wasted?! I originally already don't have school because my only lecture is cancelled. Oh well!

So what did I do today? Slept, slept and slept! Should have just gone out with Beebz and celebrated our 23rd monthsary, what a unproductive day! Had planned to complete most of my assignments today, but ended up not even completing one fully. (To credit myself, its pretty tough and I'm sorta 3/4 done HAHAH) At least I'll be seeing my boy tomorrow, so it ain't too bad!

Anyways my friends and I were in school yesterday mid afternoon, on our way to collect data for our Final Year Project at Town. We had to wait for Ziyi though, so we just hung around school, wanting to take ootd shots (LOL bunch of shameless people). Which explains the black and white photo of Cass, Bern, Qingyi and myself!

It was actually Bern's idea to snap this shot - inspired by one of the many bands he listens to: Real Friends. HAHAH. So it was kinda supposed to look something like

This. LOL. Close enough? I find it so cool tho. Look at the shadows!
Look at my individual shot.

HAHAHAHA. This is actually my second try.

The first one, I looked horrifying. Just so happened I was wearing all black that day and the photo turned out to look like a scene off a horror clip. HAHAHAHA, but I was laughing in it cos I couldn't contain my laughter. LOL my group mates really make me laugh too much, tho uncontrollable laughter is often a good thing, it really made that shot super unglam! *fumes* EH - Ofcourse, I deleted the bad shot seconds after it was being passed around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The better shot tho - It kinda reminds me of one of the contestants at AsNTM Season 2, where Jodilly would love to take jump shots and the judges would be super awed with her ninja-leviation skills. Maybe I have a little potential in that area? LOL JKJK. Far cry.

One of our group meetings at the newly opened Coffee Bean in Ngee Ann!
Me: "Wa thirsty! Should I buy the drink!? Expensive leh don't want to be a victim of just buying things for its brand"
The rest: "Don't be such a business student la"

Yesterday was pretty fun tho, honestly I was kinda dreading it because I was worried nobody would bother doing our survey. I'm a classic example - always avoid those surveyors like the plauge, especially since our targeted respondents are Young Working Adults, we were seriously in for a challenge! With heavy hearts..... We just dragged our feet to town and tried to get things done!

It wasn't as bad as I had thought! Being the more daring one, I went ahead to ask my first respondent! She was quite nice, filled in the questionnaire without a word of rejection! Hahaha but ofcourse it wasn't like that through out. Battling my fear of stepping out of my comfort zone and the rejection from the public, I just put on my thick skin and tried to get as many responses as possible!

At the end of the day, our team of 5 people managed to hit our goal of reaching out to 50 respondents! :') Even though it sounds like a little amount, alot of effort has been put in! Imagine stopping a young working adult to do a survey in the bustling heart of town, definitely not a piece of cake! Sadly though, we're just taking baby steps, that's only about a fifth of the total amount we need!

But, it was a good start nevertheless. Even got invited to snap some photos when I approached some really approachable people at TAKA! :D they were so nice!

In order to "qualify" to take these pictures, you actually had to spend $350 at the fair! Here's a little promotional help for you guys! Head down to the fair and support them y'all! :D

Was really looking forward to the end of the day, where I met beebi for dinner! :D

We went to The Rotisserie at Rochester, my fav place for their yummy fries and chicken! Ate half a chicken and lots of fries on my own (!!!!!!) I'm not a monster tho - the food's really yummy and it was sorta my lunch and dinner all in one (Yes I know, mental note to self to really need to curb on my irregular eating habits)

Can't wait for tomorrow and the following week where I'll be off school and spending more time with my boy! :)))))))))))))

Cheers, x

Advertorials

I'm sure all of you girlies out there have at least heard of Asience, on commercials or even at our local drugstores! I find their products really interesting because their products are actually specially crafted for Asian hair!

I've always had this lifelong problem of trying to tame frizz and inject a little more moisture into my hair with whatever means and I ways I can ever lay my hands on.

Soft locks is key for a more well-kept appearance, especially for me because I really really love experimenting hairstyles and putting my hair under alot of damage by dyeing, curling and putting it my mane under lots of blow drying heat!

I'm a girl who love going for the big curls, voluminous look, but whenever I return home after a long day and catch a glimpse of the state of my hair... I just die a little inside. HAHAHA keedz, but don't you find it a little frustrating!? Although I leave my house in the morning with nice, freshly washed soft hair, it frizzes up in the day and becomes... a mess! This isn't what I want it to look like all the time!

The fact is, the result of all the damage I do to my hair really shows through!

About a week ago, I received a huge smartpac from Asience!

Yay! Been long awaiting for its arrival and here it is! It really brightens up my day when I return home to see parcels waiting for me. Its like mini presents I get to open and try, all in the comfort of my own home!
Haven't received a smartpac before, so I was pretty intrigued by it!

(Suaku? HAHAHAHAH hey there's a first time for everything!!!!)

*shake shake*

There! Nestled in the spacious box comes this tub of gold - Asience Treatment Hair Mask in 180g.

Here are the Asian Beauty Essences in Asience's formula that keeps hair hydrated and moisturised!
Lotus flower, Korean ginseng, Camellia Oil, Aloe Essence, Pearl and Shell Ginger Leaf

These ingredients are specially formulated to help intensively moisturise and heal damaged hair, inside-out for the smooth and soft locks I'm really looking for! Even better, it is made to retain all the goodness in for a good long 96 hours in one application!

All I did was just to add this in replacement of my regular conditioner, applying it liberally on my hair after shampooing, starting from the mid-section to the ends of my hair. I then left it in for a good long 5 minutes and following the instructions on the tub, ran through the tips of my hair and only washed the product off thoroughly after it no longer feels rough. Even in the shower, I could already tell my hair has become a lot silkier!

When I stepped out of the shower, my mom even commented "What's that flowery smell? New shampoo? Smells very nice!"

The results were pretty good, to be honest! I love the oriental fragrant scent of the product - it lingered on my hair even until the next day. Sure enough, I couldn't stop touching my hair as it felt so soft! You can tell from the pictures of the next two days the difference it makes to the shine of my hair!

My review - Product Efficacy:

Will I Purchase - Yes! Once I'm finished with this product (which I think would take a pretty long while, since a little really does go a long way) I'll continue using it.

Nourishing - 5/5 stars

Moisturizing - 5/5 stars

Ofcourse, I'd love to share the good stuff with you - If you'd like to give this product a go, redeem your very own FREE Asience Treatment Hair Mask Sample here: http://www.ksgpromo.com/AsienceMask/

Or, you can lay your hands on the full sized product just at S$18.90 for 180g, from NTUC, Cold Storage or Sheng Siong.
